Jazz with a few exceptions, tends to be timeless. In this hour, we will explore a playlist from my KCHO Sunday Nite show that aired 37 years ago this week. While that program was more than recorded jazz, spanning comedy, radio drama, science fiction, studio guests, and live jazz performances, music was the foundational glue that held it all together. Let's experience that timeliness with some sounds I was diggin' 37 years ago; I'll bet they are as fresh and compelling today nearly 4 decades later. Ow, I'm feeling old.
