In the 21st century, there is no doubt that jazz is an international affair. In some cases, it may seem that the international community offers greater support for jazz than its home in the USA does. Nevertheless, in the words of Art Blakey, "No America, no jazz". In this hour we will celebrate another anniversary of the birthplace of jazz with music that reflects upon the unique confluence of cultures that define this nation and its citizenry. Oh, and by the way, it will be a swingin' affair.
