In the history of Jazz there have been many people who have left an indelible mark. In this hour we will explore the music of four named Clark(e). Sonny Clark's short career had a significant impact on pianists who were his contemporaries and those who came after. Kenny Clarke AKA Klook helped spawn BeBop and then in later years had a successfull venture in large ensembles with Francy Boland. Stanley Clarke is perhaps one of the best known bassists, both electric and acoustic especially in the early years of fusion. Finally, Clark Terry, a trumpeter whose uncanny musical skill led him to become a mumbler extraordinaire. In this hour we will dig four cool Clark(e)s.
